$3.4 billion / 771,480 homeless = about $4,407.11 per homeless. That's $367.26 per month, which pays for your food. Our equal partnership homeless program will house, feed, educate and then on to EMPLOY as programmers.
You can imagine a big INFLUX of people into this system because it's so easy to find accomodation. To get in, you actually have to prove you were in a homeless shelter or out on the street for 2 years. If you can survive out there with a sleeping bag as a thief and bigger, then you get to join our team. We don't want people moving from home with parents STRAIGHT into our accomodations. We only want people who LIVED IT!!!
I suppose some people will live the life of a thief out there in the cities, escaping cops, just to get into this FREE system. But at least it's a harder path if you have to prove to our lie detection equal partnership that you lived out there in the STREETS for 2 years as a minimum.
Yes, I've imagined living out on the streets as a life of luxury if you do it right. If you got your sleeping bag and your backpack, you have big GROCERY stores to keep you from starving. If you sleep during part of the day, in valuable shade somewhere, then you're out at night in the valuable cold air, out of the Sun. But if you don't have a sub zero sleeping bag for the winter, you're screwed. You can warm yourself by eating onions. I do this with the word SNOW running in my head. SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW while you eat an onion for warmth.
This a rare group of people that we transition into full accommodations: food, internet, shelter. We teach you how to read. Then we teach you how to program.
