From one side of New York City subway system to the other is 23.45 miles  

23.45 / 30 = about .78

So one side to the other is 78% of $3.135 = about $2.45

So gas is cheaper than subway. But you have insurance and cost of car.

If your car insurance is $500 for six months.

5 days a week * 52 weeks in a year / 2 = 130 driving days

$500 / 130 = $3.84

So your total cost without car repairs is $2.45 + $3.84 = $6.29

Subway fair $2.90 compared to $6.29 for 30 mpg vehicle, not including repairs. A car is a LEAST twice as much.

This figure is calculated by volunteers who receive GRANT money from Housing and Urban Development for assisting homeless. They have to count homeless as a condition of receiving grant money.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development just gives away $3.4 billion to 7,000 projects rather than manage a UNIFIED group the way we'll run our Homeless Equal Partnership. Churches and nonprofits all get money from this $3.4 billion. As an agreement for taking this money, these groups must do a COUNT of homeless in their area. So this 771,480 is simply 7,000 nonprofits that do WHATEVER as their count.

The United States population is 340,110,988.
